Aimtron recognizes the importance of Green Energy as a growing segment of our Economy. Manufacturing for this industry, both domestic and offshore, has particulars which require an experienced staff. Aimtron’s expertise includes:
LED Lighting
We understand the particulars for successful LED lighting. Aimtron can process lead free with white mask without discoloration. Aluminum core boards are within our expertise as well. Strip-style lighting on flex circuit board can be successfully manufactured.

Power Conversion Products
Products such as grid ties, inverters, battery management, drive controls, and power modules are within our experience. Large copper ground planes and high thickness inner layers may be processed with ease. Mixtures of through-hole and surface mount components are processed between our surface mount, selective solder, and wave solder lines.
Building Automation
Devices such as motion-sensing energy savers, power distribution & control, energy meters, and gas detectors have all been produced by our staff.

Other Industrial
There is so much innovation in the green energy field, it is impossible to list all the possibility of devices. Wherever your imagination takes you, Aimtron can help you achieve the best possible pricing, highest quality, and fastest delivery.
RoHS and the Environment
Mindful of the environment an customer requirements, RoHS processing is easy and intuitive if you implement good training practices, and a visual work environment. Aimtron takes great strides to separate RoHS from non-RoHS by using designated tools, work spaces, and sound daily practices.
Heat:
RoHS assemblies require more heat than SnPB processes. Increased heat may also increase risk, as not every component can withstand high temperatures over a period of time.
Risk is mitigated by having sound thermal profiling, stencils, paste, and an experienced Engineer to put it all together.
Aimtron considers all these factors critical to success.
Environment:
Some examples of our intuitive work environment:
Solder Stencils: Green Mesh for RoHS, Silver for SnPB
Solder Paste Handling: Separate tools for RoHS / SnPB, Sound usage procedures.
Soldering Irons: Green Sleeve for RoHS, Blue for SnPB, Designated SnPB processing workstations
Selective Soldering: Changeable Solder Pots, Separate Nozzle Sets
Wave Soldering: RoHS only

Manufacturing Line 101: The basics of Assembly Line Machines Machines
A typical assembly line contains, at a minimum, the following items:
Board Loader
Blank PCBs are stacked here for use with the screen printer. This is preferable to manual insertion due to a higher speed capability.
Screen Printer
Solder paste is applied to a blank board through a screen and wiper. Paste may be RoHS (Lead Free), or SnPb (Leaded), with no-clean or other fluxes. Typically, No Clean satisfies most customer requirements. Lead and Lead Free is visually segregated by use of different color schemes on the stencil, blade, and paste itself.
High Speed Placement
Also known as a ‘chip-shooter’, the smallest and most plentiful parts are placed first. This operation is quite fast! A modest machine operating at capacity can place over 50,000 parts per hour!
High Flexibility Placement
All remaining IC’s, connectors, BGA’s, or odd sized parts are placed by a high-end placement machine. These flex placers may accept reels, tubes, trays, any form parts may come (but not bulk!).
Convection Reflow Oven
Thermal profile is key to success! Using a high amount of reflow zones, Aimtron can put more boards through at a faster rate, while preventing any thermal shock.
Conveyors:
Between all machines are transport conveyors. They can signal each other to pass a board to the next station when ready.
Post-Line operations include Automated Optical Inspection, and Reporting.
Aimtron takes great care to prevent problems from occurring on the line. It is a lean concept to prevent errors at their source. Our combination of experience, passion, and procedure helps us reduce overhead cost to you, and waste in the process.

How is the market these days? Fantastic!
Aimtron is booking record revenue for the months of June and July, and expects strong sales all the way through August-September.
Projects are spanning design, small run, multi-level assembly, high technology, and high volume.
Clients include Medical, Defense, Gaming, and miscellaneous high-density, high-tech designs. One project involves a custom guitar pedal for a recognized artist, to be showcased at a rock festival in August (Artist must remain anonymous for now!)
With all these projects simultaneous, how do we keep up our quality up and defects down?
- Online documentation explicitly describes the instructions for each work center. No guessing or tribal knowledge! Published Intranet documents used for production
- Communication is constant. From Front-Of-House* to Shop, peer-to-peer, and just as important, feedback from the Shop to Front-Of-House.
- Advanced MRP system for planning. Our MRP system shows us all materials on hand, required quantity, and the PO by the job number. We are able to instantly see the material status on all jobs making for easier planning.
Aimtron is happy to be working with a wide range of customers, and is thankful for all the help from our Vendors and other supporters. We strive to bring quality work to our Marketplace, and help all Clients achieve their goals.
*Front-Of-House is a term used by many musicians. On a stage, the FOH mixer is used to finalize the performance for the audience. Aimtron uses the term Front-Of-House to describe the Engineering and Sales operations.
Aimtron strives to recognize the multiple talents of our employees. This month, we would like to recognize Kinjal Patel for outstanding achievements related to several projects for key clients.
Educated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Kinjal has been working in the EMS / CEM industry, commanding a diversified array of skills in all aspects of the production line.
Knowledgeable in key skills from CAD to machine maintenance, Kinjal has proved to be a reliable member of Aimtron’s team. Additionally, she exhibits leadership skills through training and mentoring her peers.
Recently, Kinjal lead her team through a complicated prototype build in record time. The assembly consisted of 203 unique feeders, placing over 1200 SMT components. The order was set up, built, and shipped to the end client in two days. All of this was accomplished within our Quality Management System, including labor recording, material movements, and error reporting.
Beyond the manufacturing line, Kinjal is point-person, communicating directly with several key clients on issues such as CAD data, component issues, and part inventory transactions.
In today’s market place, it is important to have reliable people that can lead in several areas. Kinjal has helped Aimtron be successful, and will continue to grow with the company.
Electro-Static Discharge.
All objects and materials hold an electric charge. When two objects come into proximity or contact, they exchange charge until they are both equal. Sometimes the charge exchange is so great, it can damage electronic components.
To prevent any harm, Aimtron is vigilant about its safe handling practices. Utilizing training, equipment, and visual markings around the workplace, we help ensure the long-term success of customer’s assemblies by safe handling up front.
Aimtron’s efforts have been recognized by the Electro Static Discharge Association (ESDA). Certified to ESDA S.20:20:2007, Aimtron is among an exclusive list of about 150 companies world-wide who currently hold this title.
Verify our certification here – ESDA’s Website
It is true that many companies have their own safe handling practices, but how many are recognized among global leaders?
Certified by Underwriters Laboratories, Aimtron successfully passed Stage 1 and Stage 2 audit the first time.
This is the level of attention we bring to your requirements.
Aimtron brings the latest state-of-the art technology and processes to our clients.
Today, we will show our Wave Soldering work center.
There are a number of fine machines on the new and used market. We chose to buy a brand new Vitronics Delta Series to cover this critical portion of our infrastructure.
Buying new allows us to take advantage of training, years of warranty, and the piece of mind knowing the exact solder chemistry in the solder pot. What does this mean for you? Control of the process, and predictable results.
To maintain an environmentally friendly and safe work environment, Aimtron invested in special filtering. We can ensure a contaminate free atmosphere inside, while having a neutral impact on the environment outside.
Although wave soldering has been with our industry for decades and well understood, we do not take this process for granted.
When an assembly arrives at Wave, there may be a substantial value added in components. We ensure the process does not harm the assembly by carefully checking the heat profile, flux specifications, height, and a number of critical dimensions.
Double sided assemblies may be safely processed with wave solder pallets.
Superior process ensures superior results. Contact Aimtron today to find out how we can help you achieve your goals.
